Smart Climate Agriculture Training kicks off
January 23. 2024: Dang Ghorahi: Rural Women Development Center-RWDC has started the Smart Climate Agriculture Training for smallholder farmers in its RePLANT Project areas starting with Dangisharan rural municipality and Tulsipur Sub Metropolis effective from Jan 21.
The training is aimed at the improvement of agriculture technologies in the wake of climate change and global warming which demands climate-smart agriculture adaptations to cope with the adverse circumstances.
The training is one of the effective project activities being implemented by RWDC in the Dang district with financial assistance of USAID and technical assistance from iDE Nepal since January 2023.
RWDC staff and marketing supervisor Dhan Bahadur Bhandari and insurance supervisor Arbind Chaudhary are directly involved in conducting these trainings for the local farmers in Ghorahi, Tulsipur, and Dangisharan Palika with the assistance of agriculture technicians hired from the Agriculture department of the respective local units of the government.
