RWDC implemented SLVC-II Project awards two cooperatives in Dang
Dang Ghorahi: April 1, 2021: Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra (Rural Women Development Center-RWDC) has awarded two SLVC -II Project Promotion Grants to two successful farmers’ cooperatives located in Lamahi Municipality in Dang district.
The two cooperatives include Dipan Samajik Udhami Mahila Sahakari Sanstha Limited which received a project promotion grant of Rs 484667 and Samunnati Samajik Mahila Sahakari Sanstha limited that received a project promotion grant of Rs 251633. The promotion grants were given under the “Vegetable Production and Market Promotion assistance Program” of the SLVC-II project.
Punam Gharti, Chairperson of Dipan Samajik Udhami Mahila Sahakari Sanstha limited, and Anju Chaudhary, chairperson of Samaunati Samajik Udhayami Mahila Sahakari Sanstha limited received the check amount from RWDC chair person Aasmani Chaudhary
The project promotion grants for the two cooperatives are expected to further promote vegetable farming, production, and marketing assistance in the areas covered by the two awarded cooperatives said Bhim Kant Chaudhary, the Project Coordinator of the SLVC-II project for RWDC.
The promotion grants were awarded to the two best cooperatives of the farmers after scrutinizing the performances of a total of 12 cooperatives overseen by RWDC implemented Heifer International launched SLVC-II project in Dang, Salyan, and Pyunthan districts.
Present on the occasion were focal person Madhaba Pokharel, Project Coordinator Bhim Kant Chaudhary, accountant Puran Adhikari, Cooperative Capacity Building Facilitator (CCBF) Bed Raj Sharma Pandey, Parbati Basnet, Basanata Buddha Magar, the award recipients and RWDC chairperson Aasmani Chaudhary.
