RWDC enters 29th years of its establishment
December 7, 2022: Rural Women Development Center -RWDC (Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra has entered into the 29 th year of its establishment today (December 7).
On this auspicious occasion, founding chair Aasmani Chaudhary cut the birthday cake during which the employees and board members clapped in a jubilant mood to cheer the anniversary of the RWDC.
The legal advisor and visionary of this institution Shogat Bir Chaudhary addressed the gathering of employees and board members to recall the struggling days of the RWDC and thanked all the well-wishers, donors, and project partners for contributing to the mission, vision, and goals of RWDC in the past 28 years.
Similarly, the founding chair of RWDC Aasmani Chaudhary also appreciated the contributions of donors, project partners, and employees in achieving the milestone in the past 28 years journey full of struggle, achievements, and fulfillment of cherished dreams for RWDC to create a self-reliant and empowered society.
Last Saturday only the 28th year’s celebration was observed along with board members, well-wishers and employees, and media persons by organizing a movement forward gathering at Barahkune daha in Ghorahi.
RWDC has contributed substantially to gender equity, governance, human rights, the fight against discrimination, fight against gender discrimination, the promotion of educational rights, child protection, reproductive health rights, climate change and resilience, advocacy for democracy, anti-corruption, the fight against gender violence, and promoted income generation of rural and impoverished communities during 28 years of the journey.
