RWDC disburses over 5.9 million under Covid-19 Emergency Support funded by Heifer International
Dang, Ghorahi-15, June 13, 2021: Rural Women Development Center (RWDC) also known as Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra has disbursed 5.9 million rupees under Covid-19 Emergency Support funded by Heifer International Nepal.
In the preliminary rounds of support provided to various municipalities in Dang district, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis was given Rs 600000 and Lamahi Municipality was given Rs 950,000 as Covid-19 Emergency Financial support funded by Heifer International Nepal on June 11, 2021, amidst a program held at respective municipalities.

RWDC founding advisor Shogat Bir Chaudhary handed over the account payee checks of the Bank of Kathmandu to the respective high officials of both municipalities. RWDC chairperson Asmani Chaudhary was also present on the occasion.

Similarly, RWDC founding advisor Shogat Bir Chaudhary handed over a check of Rs 11,00000 to Babay Rural Municipality as a Covid-19 Emergency support fund received from Heifer International Nepal.

Likewise, RWDC Shogat Bir Chaudhary handed over a check of Rs 1100000 to Dangi Sharan Rural Municipality officials as Covid-19 Emergency support fund received from Heifer International Nepal.

RWDC so far has disbursed around Rs 3750000 Covid-19 Emergency support fund received from Heifer International Nepal. Around 2.2 million rupees is likely to be supported to other beneficiary municipalities in other districts of Salyan and Pyuthan where RWDC is implementing the SLVC -II Project funded by Heifer International Nepal.
In the Salyan district, Triveni Rural Municipality has been given Rs 400000 as Covid-19 Emergency support on June 14, 2021. In Pyuthan district Swardgarwari Rural Municipality has been given Rs 6,00000, while Surumarani Rural Municipality has been given Rs 115000 as Covid-19 Emergency support coordinated by RWDC and funded by Heifer International Nepal.



RWDC also is implementing SLVC -II project in Dang district which is funded by Heifer International Nepal since a long time.
The Covid-19 Emergency support fund received from Heifer International Nepal under the close coordination of Rural Women Development Center -RWDC based in Dang Ghorahi in Lumbini province will be utilized for buying Covid-19 related safety equipment including Oximeter, sanitizer, making arrangements, beds, or any other medical-related safe measures for the isolation centers to cope up with the Covid-19 emergency in the event of the increasing spree of Covid-19 epidemic in the country.
