RPAC in Dangisharan R.M. organized

Rural Women Development Center- RWDC organized Dangisharan Rural Municipality based Rural Project Advisory Committee (RPAC) meeting, field visits, learning and sharing session on October 18, 2023 under the Project Reducing Post harvest -Losses through access to New Technologies (RePLANT).
The RePLANT is being implemented across five palikas of Dang including Dangisharan RM, Tulsipur Sub Metropolis, Ghorahi Sub Metropolis, Lamahi municipality and Rapti Rural Municipality.
The project is funded by USAID, technically supported by iDE Nepal and implemented by RWDC Dang.
The participants of RPAC Dangisharan included palika chief Shambhu Giri, who chaired the RPAC meeting while other palika members including admins chief Dilli Ram Pandey among others who particpated in the field visit at Rampur -ward no 1 for integrated pest management of cereal crop-Paddy.
Though the paddy field was empty after crop harvest, yet the visiting team observed the grains of paddy which was stored in the paddy field. Then PiCS bag demonstration was observed at the local house.
The RPAC meeting began with the welcome speech of PC Hit BDR Thapa followed by background inforation of RWDC presented by Sancha Bahadur Chaudhary, followed by presentation about the RePLANT project activities in the field by Program Officer Sangit Adhikari.
The meeting was addressed by RWDC legal advisor Saugt Bir Chaudhary and finally addressed by closing remarks of palika chief Shambhu Giri, who assured that his palika meeting will do something for buying some PICS bags for the farmers.
