Dang Ghorahi-15, March 5, 2021: Partnership Forum Meeting under CS: MAP Project funded by USAID/Fhi360 implemented by Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra (Rural Women Development Center -RWDC) has been held at Hotel City Plaza conference hall on March 5, 2021.

The Mayor of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis Naru Lal Chaudhary who is the chair of the Partnership Forum presided over the meeting while RWDC chair Mrs Aasmani Chaudhary welcomed the participants with her welcome speech, calling upon the participants to commit to accountability, transparency and good governance while providing public services.

The main agenda of the partnership meeting was public services related to education, housing, food, agriculture and disaster. Over 60 participants representing ward chairmen of 19 wards of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis were present on the occasion.

The program and partnership forum focused slide presentations were presented by CS:MAP Coordinator of RWDC Navin Chaudhary related to current status quo of housing, food, education, agriculture and disaster. Similarly, Shubraj Chaudhary on behalf of INSEC presented slides on land and housing.

Deputy Mayor Sita Sigdel was also present on the occasion. At the end of the meeting the Mayor Naru Lal Chaudhary responded to  whole agenda discussed and issues raised in the meeting by the participants regarding house, land rights, the risk posed by cement industries on public health in Dang and the behavioral gap seen between peoples representatives and civil servants in expressing accountability towards the people.

Ram Prasad Pokharel of Dang Chambers and commerce and Chandra Raj Panta representing Civil Society Dang also spoke on the occasion.
