Interaction between RePlant team and MBBL held

Rural Women Development Center-RWDC organized a one-day interaction meeting between the RePLANT team and Muktinath Bikash Bank Limited (MBBL) on December 10, 2023, at Hotel City Plaza Hall in Dang Ghorahi-15
The meeting which was presided over by RWDC chair Aasmani Chaudhary informally began with the welcome speech and organization presentation by loan supervisor Kamala Sharma.
This was followed by highlights of the program objectives delivered by Program Coordinator HB Thapa after which the Program Officer Sangit Adhikari presented his PowerPoint slides on RePLANT activities and targets achieved in the opening of Kishan Bachat Khatas so far.
This was accompanied by the presentation by a representative of MBBL on the recent progress in opening Kishan Bachat Khata which is aimed at opening at least 1000 Krishi Bachat Katta by the end of the project in February 2024.
The updated reports presented in the meeting showed that nearly 250 Kishan Bacchat Khata have been documented so far and over 50 are pending.
Then there was brainstorming among the participants as to how to go about meeting the project targets. Some of the participants pointed out that intensive campaigns to open accounts for farmers should be initiated even on Saturday by making plans for the upcoming 15 days.
The open floor discussions for brainstorming were felicitated by iDE representatives Jung Gurunga and Kalpana Dhital along with Program Officer Sangit Adhikari and Kamala Sharma.
As many as 20 participants including branch managers and officials of MBBL from various four branches of Tulsipur, Ghorahi, Lamahi, and Rapti Rural Municipality in Dang district participated in the meeting
Then the meeting was addressed and concluded by by RWDC chair Aasmani Chaudhary by highlighting what to be done in the future to accelerate the objectives and goals of the project in collaboration with MBBL.
