Gita Chaudhary takes pride in receiving the outstanding micro-entrepreneurship award
Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra (Rural Women Development Center-RWDC) has been active as social organization towards empowerment of women since 2051 BS.
After RWDC gained its license to work as financial intermediary institution in 2060 BS, it has been organizing women’s saving groups, providing micro loans without collateral with group guarantee to the poor, destitute, marginalized and oppressed groups for their economic growth towards entrepreneurship.
The RWDC as its promoter organization has established Atmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited as per the bank and financial act 2073 and accomplished its handing over process in 2075 BS and mobilized more than 40,000 women members.
Gita Chaudhary of the RWDC promoted and organized center no 197, of Gidinia Mahila Utthan Kendra has been awarded a national award for entrepreneurship with a cash award of Rs 25000 at a program organized by Center for Self help Development (CSD) at Hotel Maxx in Kohalapur by Minister for Agriculture and Land Management of Lumbini province Arati Poudel. The CSD awards the national entrepreneurship prize every year.
According to RWDC’s vision “Create a self-reliance society, “it would like to see not only a single Geeta Chaudhary but thousands of such Geeta to be awarded similar national awards for entrepreneurship in future.”
