District Inception Workshop with Stakeholders held
Feb 6, 2023: Rural Women Development Center-RWDC has held one day district level inception workshop with stakeholders in “Reducing Post -harvest Losses through Access to New Technologies (RePLANT) project in Ghorahi on Feb 6 at Hotel City Plaza in Ghorahi Dang.
The chief of Dang district coordination committee (DDCC) Nitya Nanda Sharma was the chief guest of the program while RWDC founding chairperson Aasmani Chaudhary presided over the program.
Information officer of RWDC Parbati Basnet was the host of the program. The program was welcomed by Program officer Srishti Shah. The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Nitya Nanda Sharma by lighting the lamp.
The Mayor of Tulsipur Sub Metropolis Tika Ram Khadka and Deputy Mayor of Ghorahi Sub Metropolis Huma DC were the special guests on the occasion. Chief of Dangi Sharan Rural Municipality Shambu Giri and Deputy chief of Rapti R. Municipality Kamala Pati Chaudahry were also present on the occasion as guests and speakers.
The NGO coalition members including USAID funded project partners, Agriculture department chiefs of local governments were also present on the occasion including the representatives of Muktinath Bank and media persons such as Federation of Nepalese Journalists Association Dang district chair Durga Lal KC.
Former convenor of Civil Society campaign Chandra Raj Pant also spoke on the occasion.
The program coordinator Hit BDR Thapa presented the overall overview of RWDC and RePLANT while the iDE Regional Program Manager Kalpana Dhital presented her overview of the RePLANT project.
The program which began by 9 am was interactive and responsive. The program focuses on hermetic bags for farmers, non collateral loan and crop insurance.
The program was concluded with the concluding remarks of RWDC chair Aasmani Chaudhary in the end.
