Dang Ghorhai: 27 June 2022: CSMAP final Close meeting was organized on June 27 2022 at Mala Inn Hotel in Ghorahi -15.

The chief guest on the occasion was Mayor Naru Lal Chaudhary of Ghorahi Sub metropolis and the special guest was Deputy Mayor Huma DC. The meeting was presided over by RWDC Chair Aasmani Chaudhary.

Total 55 participants including 34 males and 21 females. The welcome and overall presentation was done by CSMAP -Project Coordinator Hit BDR Thapa while Advocacy officer Shiva Chaudhary facilitated the program.

The Participants included champions, local elected representatives from wards, CA members, LDAG members, HEAD Coalition members, and journalists from the district chapter of journalists.

Mayor Narulal Chaudhary also gave away appreciation certificates to the participating CA, HEAD coalition members, LDAG members, and champions who had contributed to CSMAP achievements in the past five years.

Most of the speakers including Champinions receiving honor and appreciation letters said they will continue to work as before even if the project is phased out in the future as the local problems are attached to their own lives and it is their own duty and responsibility to initiate advocacy to achieve them in their life time.

Speaking during the program Mayor Narulal Chaudhary appreciated the efforts put in by CSMAP implemented by RWDC in Dang in the past five years. He thanked RWDC for being watchful on governance, accountability, and transparency in the delivery of public services and for initiating the Public hearing process in the district. Ward representatives also appreciated RWDC’s efforts.

Similarly, ward 15 chair Ramesh Kumar Pandey said RWDC is one of the true custodians of freedom, democracy, and human rights. Likewise, senior-most champion Chandra Panta also said that the RWDC has contributed a lot towards local level policy advocacy, oversight, transparency, accountability, and responsibility of public institutions.

The meeting was dispersed after the concluding remarks delivered by RWDC chair Aasmani Chaudhary. She said RWDC will continue to sustain all local structures by approaching the donors or by its own resources.
