Aasmani Chaudhary gets command of RWDC unanimously
October 29, 2022: The founding chairperson of the Rural Women Development Center -RWDC (Gramin Mahila Uthan Kendra) Aasmani Chaudhary has once again taken the command of RWDC as its new chairperson after the 28th national convention unanimously paved the way for her to lead the organization.
The new 7-member RWDC steering committee headed by Aasmani Chaudhary comprises Kamala Chaudhary -Vice-chairperson, Basanta Pun -Secretary, Sarita Chaudhary -Assistant Secretary, Meera Chaudhary -Treasurer, while Mina Giri and Madhaba Pokhrel are general members of this new committee.
Similarly, Rajani Shrestha has been appointed as the new advisor of RWDC, while Thaman Chaudhary and Saugat Bir Chaudhary have been repeated as advisors of RWDC.
The new RWDC Board committee was sworn in by HB Thapa the election officer appointed for the day.
The first session of the general assembly which began at around 12 pm on Sunday, had a participation of over 60 rural women participants and men. The program was moderated by Sarita Chaudhary. The participants were welcomed by Basanta Pun soon after the inauguration of the meeting by chairperson Aasmani Chaudhary.
RWDC chairperson Aasmani Chaudhary also presented the progressive report of the organization while Meera Chaudhary presented the overall expenditure and income of the organization with an audited report.
RWDC chairperson Aasmani Chaudhary also presented the future programs of the organization, while Nep Bahadur Chaudhary, Parvati Basnet, HB Thapa, and the legal advisor Saugat Bir Chaudhary also spoke on the occasion.
Geeta Chaudhary, one of the best social entrepreneurs also spoke about her economic enterprise which was supported by RWDC-promoted Aatmanirbhar Laghubittiya Bitta Sanstha Pvt Ltd.
Geeta Chaudhary’s daughter was also awarded a scholarship award from RWDC chairperson Aasmani Chaudhary with a purse of Rs 2000 (sponsored by Basanta Pun) and educational materials including a bag, pen, pencil, and copies.
