2299 Goats sold between Dashain and Tihar

Ghorahi-October 26, 2021: Rural Women Development Center -RWDC-in the fiscal year 2021-2022, has facilitated a total sale of 2299 goats in between the Dashain and Tihar festival from the “Goats Collection Center” of local cooperatives supported under SLVC -II project funded by Heifer International Nepal and implemented by RWDC in Dang, Salyan, and Pyuthan districts.

The total amount gained from the sale of 2299 goats for the cooperatives has amounted to Rs 35385991 in all.

RWDC has coordinated with the Nepal government’s Food Depot as well as private sector buyers to sell the above-mentioned number of goats in the current fiscal year.

The previous year’s total sale record of goats through these cooperatives was documented as a total sale of 6090 goats which brought Rs 77418048 for the cooperatives.
